Country artist Carly Pearce has another accolade to add to her already impressive resume.

The “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” singer will be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame in October, according to Kentucky Country Music. Pearce joins fellow inductees, Pete Goble (bluegrass songwriting legend); Paul Yandell (master guitarist); Norah Lee Allen (background vocalist and Grand Ole Opry member); Tommy White (steel guitar player and Steel Guitar Hall of Famer); and Marty Brown (hit songwriter) in receiving this honor, the outlet noted.

A Taylor Mill native, Pearce reacted to the news via her social media channels, saying the following:

“If I could only tell 10 year old Carly, who was singing anywhere in her home state of Kentucky that would have her, that THIS was coming…. ♥️ Kentucky will always be the place that grew my country music roots. So incredibly honored to announce that I am one of the 2022 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Inductees!!!!

Pearce is not a stranger to the Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame. She welcomed her own exhibit at the Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame and Museum in March 2021 and played a few songs to celebrate the occasion.

The exhibit featured a costume Pearce wore during a talent show she’d won as a child. In unveiling her exhibit, Pearce said she wished she could tell her younger self “what was coming.”

In September 2021, Pearce made a special visit to her hometown for “Carly Pearce Day” where she received a key to the city and was named “Kentucky Colonel.”

More recently, Pearce appeared at the Country Music Hall Of Fame to preview her part in the “American Currents” exhibit. Pearce’s part of the exhibit features the dress she wore when she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry along with a replica Barbie her mom had made for her.

Besides all of her aforementioned accolades, Pearce is also the reigning CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year.

Pearce could potentially clinch a few more awards at this year’s ACMs on March 7. She is nominated for Female Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year (for her third studio album, 29: Written In Stone), Video Of The Year (for her Ashley McBryde collab, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl”), and Music Event Of The Year (also for “Never Wanted To Be That Girl”).

Pearce will be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame on October 28 in Renfro Valley, according to Kentucky Country Music.
